Morrys Kaisermann is a Brazilian physician with board certification in Respiratory Diseases and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has 28 year experience in clinical practice and worked as professor of Semiology and Internal Medicine at two Medical Schools in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the author or co-author of eight full articles and more than 60 abstracts presented in medical congresses. Morrys Kaisermann joined GlaxoSmithKline R&D in 2006, and has been working with clinical trials in several therapeutic areas since then.
As the father of a child with achondroplasia, Morrys Kaisermann has been studying FGFR3-related dysplasias for the last 10 years. Since 2010, he has been collaborating with Fundación Alpe and Growing Stronger (an American non-profit organization devoted to improve health and quality of life for achondroplasia and skeletal dysplasias). and since 2012 he has been publishing reviews directed to the general public about achondroplasia and potential therapies for this skeletal dysplasia in the blog Treating Achondroplasia (www.tinyurl.com/achtion).
